It took a while, but We were preparing the project which is about to happen.
So quite exciting!!
It is to bring the kids from our hometown, the Tsunami affected area,
Kamaishi to Vancouver.
昨年、春から私たちが計画していたプロジェクトがいよいよ実施されます。
それは、被災地（釜石・大槌など）からバンクーバーへ中学生・高校生を招聘すること。

This program is supported by friends who donated to the non-profit organization
(@Rias NPO support center at my hometown, myself and from sponsors.
The students will be paid an application fee for the passport, transportation between
hometown to Narita airport, airfaire, homestay fee, ESL fee etc.
パスポートの申請費用や成田空港までの旅費・航空券・滞在費・学費もろもろが、寄付や
スポンサー・@リアスNPOサポートセンターへの支援金でまかなわれるというものです。
そうすれば、ご家族に遠慮なく、行きたいと思った生徒さんが参加できます。
そして、被災地を応援する人たちにぜひ会ってほしいと思い、東京駅から成田空港間は、
釜石にゆかりのある方や出身者がボランティアで引率してくださいます。
また、カナダに到着後も、時間がゆるせばスポンサーとなってくださった方に
お会いしてほしいと思います。
It is so that the kids are in no need to worry about their family situation.
Even if they would like to come and study in Vancouver, they can apply.
Vancouver is the place that even if your English is not perfect,
the people listen carefully and help your conversation.
It was selected as the best city to live in the world,
and is surrounded by mountain and ocean like most of the Tsunami affected area.
We hope the students will experience the multi-cultural society of Vancouver,
the beautiful nature and town, get a chance to talk with the many sweet people,
and can learn to find a lot of hints of what makes it the the best city to live in.
I hope this experience will have great influence for their future.
The first students will arrive on March 24th and stay 2 weeks.
バンクーバーは、他民族国家で、日本人なまりの英語でもきちんと聞いて下さる、
数少ない英語圏の街です。そしてここ数年「世界で一番住みたい街」に
選ばれた街であり、多くの被災地と同様「海と山」に囲まれた地です。
そのバンクーバーで、多民族国家を体験し、美しい町並みを楽しみ、
人々の優しさに触れ、世界で一番の街づくりのヒントを体感していただきたく思います。
そしてこの体験が、将来の何かとヒントとなれば嬉しいです。
被災地の子供たちの多くは、いまだ瓦礫に囲まれ生活しています。
今後も末永くこのプロジェクトを続けていければと思っております。
