4月に釜石を後にし、8ヶ月ぶりに釜石を訪れました。
NPO@リアスは現在、こちら釜石市営ビルに入居中です。
You can see the window on the second floor is still boarded up.いまだ2階の窓は木で覆われていますし、１階も直されていないままです。
The empty lots were home to businesses and families before the tsunami.
空き地になっているところもありますが、津波の後そのまま時がとまってしまった一角もいまだ存在します。
Some of the buildings left standing have not been removed or repaired yet but our town is moving forward.
I can feel it.
This rebuilding of our community is a comfort to those of us who no longer live in our hometown.
ただ、それでも町の至るところに、変化を感じます。少しずつ町がきれいになり、人の笑顔が増えていくことは嬉しいことです。
