ありがとう! Aldo君

I was really looking forward to seeing Aldo!! Who we introduced to you before.

以前もお伝えした7歳のアルド君に会ってきました。

二人兄弟で、ありがとうの半紙を持っているほうがアルド君です！

I handed him the paper which was written in Japanese Calligraphy. It says ”Thank you!”

Also I received an extra $20 from Aldo!!

He said, “Please let me know if he(Tsubasa )  is in trouble. I will save money for him!!”

釜石・両石のいとこの子供たちからあずかった、「ありがとう」の文字をあげると、「Cool!!（かっこいい！）」と嬉しそうでした。

そして先日の寄付に続いて、追加で$20もいただきました。

そして、「つばさ君に困ったことがあったら言ってね。おこずかい貯めておくから・・・」と。

When I talked about Aldo, everyone asked me “Who is this kid?” “ How did the parents raise him  like this??” etc. I was asked a lot of questions.

So I asked her about this. She said that they taught “If there is someone who is in trouble, please help him or her”

What  he did (He donated half of the money which he received as a birthday gift ) was done by one of his friends when he was 5 years old. He and other friends followed the idea and are still doing this.

It is a really lovely and wonderful thing to do.

I hope my cousin's kids learned from this and give something back to someone in the future.

アルド君のことを話すたびに、「その子は何者？」「どうやって育ってたんだろう？」と多くの質問を受けましたが、お母様にお聞きすると、困っている人がいたら助けるように教えているだけ・・・とのこと。

そしてこのお誕生日に、自分へのお小遣いの半額を寄付するというのは、5歳ごろに別のお友達がはじめアルド君も始めたのだそうです。

すごいなの一言ですね。

いとこの子供たちも、大きくしっかり育って、将来は誰かに恩返しをしてほしいものですね。

Aldo said that he would love to go to Kamaishi to meet my cousin’s kids.

It will be several years later but will be wonderful if they can meet!!

さて、アルド君、ご両親が航空会社関係に勤務しているそうで、近い将来ぜひ釜石に行き、会いたいと言っています。

まだ何年か先でしょうけれど、楽しみですね。
