Visit to Hakozaki, Kamaishi
箱崎への訪問

Day before yesterday, I visited the town called `Hakozaki,
Kamaishi`.Latitude : 39.317 Longitude : 141.917
You can see most of the houses are gone.The road was broken so a
couple of hundred people were moved to shelter by
helicopters.
But still around 50 people are in 4 houses.
Most of the people lost everything.

一昨日、箱崎へ行って参りました。

写真をご覧になると歴然としていますが、多くの家が津波で破壊されました。道路が寸断されているため、こちらの住民の多くはヘリコプターで運ばれましたが、数十人の方が今でも４つの残った家に滞在しています。通常避難場所となる地域の学校は津波で流されてしまいました。多くの人が、すべてを失ってしまったのです。

We visited one of those houses.
This house is built on the hill more than 100 years ago and 14 people
are in one house. No electric and water. So they use water from the
mountain.
There are quite a lot of places like this.

４軒のうちの一つにお伺いし、他のお宅へはそちら経由で物資を渡していただいています。こちらの家は１００年以上前に建てられ、現在は
１４名の方が暮らしています。電気はなく、水も出ないため、地下水を利用しています。

We brought vegetables, batteries, soap etc in more than 10 big boxes,
which were donated by a lot of people and company from various places
of Japan.
We will visit again next week.

野菜や電池、石鹸をはじめ、多くの人や会社から寄付していただいた様々なものを、希望に合わせ１０箱ほど運びました。
来週もまたお伺いする予定です。
